December 3rd is the UN’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities. It’s theme this year is “Empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality”. With this in mind, Scott Doolan became the first person with paraplegia to reach Everest Base Camp. This remarkable trek took him 10 days and covered 65 kilometres. It also became an inspiring story in breaking barriers for disabled persons.
