Peter d. clark talent show

On November 29th, the main hall of the Peter D. Clark Long-Term Care Centre was filled with the sounds of the holiday cheer as the residents enjoyed performances from the members of the MEC Foundation. Performances included musical performances of the flute, piano, and guitar, as well as live singing and spoken word. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the show - especially when our very MECF Executive Director, Kaityln, started playing the tune to some classic Christmas songs.
The MEC Foundation works closely with many long-term care homes and retirement homes to collect unused medical equipment, but this time, it was all about giving back to these wonderful communities. Not only do they provide a place for the elderly to reside in a safe and comfortable manner, they have also been very generous to our cause and have been our main source of donations.

F&S Trivia Night

The MEC Foundation hosted its first ever trivia night on October 12th! The event was hosted by Father & Sons Restaurant and players got a chance to test their knowledge of 2000s - Present Day Popular Culture. Alongside the trivia, we had a raffle draw from some amazing prize packages, including 2 tickets to an Ottawa Senators game! Congratulations again to our tournament winners "The Mighty Chondrias"!
The event was a huge success with over $300 being raised for the Foundation! Check out some of the pictures from the fun and festivities!
Hot Chocolate in the UCU

The MEC Foundation's first ever event was all about raising awareness of the need for medical equipment in our community. The MEC Foundation members offered tired and cold students some free hot chocolate to help them end their semester on a happier note. In exchange, students were encouraged to check us out on Facebook and give us a like! Check out the MEC members manning the tables and interacting with students!
